Château Cartier is a resort hotel in Gatineau’s Aylmer sector, about fifteen minutes from downtown Ottawa. The Holud, ceremony, reception, and our room block are all under one roof — once you arrive, you’re done driving for the weekend.

For the simplest arrival, fly into Ottawa International Airport (YOW), about 25–30 minutes from the venue by car. Montréal–Trudeau International Airport (YUL) is another option, with onward travel of roughly 2.5 hours by car or about 3 hours by train.

The Resort

Beyond the ballroom, Château Cartier offers Koena Spa, an 18-hole golf course, complimentary access to the fitness centre, and on-site dining at KaTO and Resto Lounge ONŌ. A few favourites across the river

Parliament Hill — the Gothic Revival landmark from our skyline art, free to wander outside; ByWard Market — food stalls, restaurants, and nightlife a few blocks east (find a BeaverTail); the Rideau Canal — a UNESCO site, lovely for a walk in May; the National Gallery of Canada — behind the giant spider, you’ll know it when you see it; and the Canadian Museum of History on the Gatineau side, which also has the single best view back at Parliament.

All of these are within about twenty minutes of the venue.
